Just to let you guys know it's zotto with a double "t". Zoto and zotto are pronounced differently in Japanese. I'm not going to go into detail about how they are pronounced b/c it would take too long. If you want to know how do a google search for pronouncing double consonants in Japanese.
As an interesting note you can look at the different ways they are spelled in Japanese. You need the Japanese language packs installed to view this.
ぞと (zoto) ぞっと (zotto)

In response to your question cloud, according to my Japanese teacher and Japanese students from Shizuoka zotto isn't even a real word. It's just Reno's little catch phrase that he does but from the way he pronounces zotto, it's two t's. Although if this were a real word, the meaning would be different depending on if you pronounced the double consonant or not.
Here is an example
Keshou (化粧) means makeup
Kesshou (結晶) means crystal
The only difference between the two words is the double "s" but to say "crystal" you have to pronounce that double "s" or else you will be saying makeup. Then the Japanese people will laugh at you when you're trying to say you found the crystal in a game and end up saying you found the makeup. It's not like this is based on a true story or anything...................you have no proof!!!!!! I also threw in the Kanji for both of em for the hell of it.
