Please open attachment***** So based off of the information so far; I made a rough draft for the world West to East(left to right) (color-element-land type) purple-wood-swamp blue-water-islands aqua-ice-peninsulas green-wind-forest yellow-lightning-fields orange-fire-cliffs (1 dormant volcano) red-magma-plains (smaller volcanoes) brown-earth-mountains The areas are highly effected by the element they are, however I'm hoping to make a reasonable overall look and blend in between each area (Example: going Wind->Thunder less trees but still some until you reach the mountains to the fire region. opinions? suggestions? comments? I'd also like to start conceptualizing where locations of places and events on the map will be, then work from there to illustrate those places. Attachments:

I like this concept, it will flow nicely with the climates and such. I was talking with Zev and she suggested that that Lightening region contain a river to divide the wind water areas from the fire earth areas, also The lightening area would be kinda-of a desolate waste land making it hard to transverse. The safer and more common way would be to travel by sea.

Yes Cloud
Basically we were talking about it, and at first he didn't like the linear -ness of the continent, however I talked him out of the idea, because here is what I thought when I initially saw it.
"Oh my I never pictured it this way, but I love it, because the fact that the elements cycle in a pretty linear way and this would make the points on the planet cycle in a more linear way having the resting areas pretty much be linear. So when you think about it, how many stories are there where the land on a planet is linear like this? I honestly don't know any, I'm sure there are a few. So I like it because it is different and works with the flows of the elements. However I did tell Cloud it would make more sense for there to be a large river that cuts through the Lightning fields which would help separate the fire and wind regions. Also I was thinking that the Lightning fields would be more of a desolate land. Not like the Lightning place in FFX cuz thats would be lame, but more like a dry land with pretty regular but not always Lightning storms. The main reason for people choosing to travel by sea to the Fire and Earth regions would be the river problem in the Lightning Fields. Its far too dangerous to get the river in the desolate land if your lucky to not get caught in a storm, let alone handle the desolate land and extreme heat coming from being close to the fire region. Plus the Lightning river is extremely dangerous, I mean who wants to cross a river most likely in a lightning storm? we can talk about it more."
But yes I likes the linear of the continent because the areas are still separated, but they are also connected this is why I like it, and its different. ^_^

Hrmm it does look very Gondwana/Pangea-ish en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pangea#Rifting_and_break-upIt's nice - has islands and shiz, perhaps the Thunder Plains Field could be a nice hideout for an antagonist or something of great power (A high level monster area even....*thinks about making maps*) The ice area is split in half like it is on two peninsulas jutting north and south because of the equator being so hot? The ice area is split in half like it is on two peninsulas jutting north and south because of the equator being so hot? Or using the other universes could have different laws of physics theory. I believe the elements influence the landscape of the planet much more then solar influences (if solar influences affect the planet at all).
